Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern your use of The Career Standard website, career services, digital resources, and related communications. By accessing the website, purchasing a service or resource, or submitting information to The Career Standard, you agree to these Terms.
Please review these Terms before making a purchase. If you do not agree with them, do not use the website or purchase our services or resources.
About The Career Standard
The Career Standard is operated by Hahn Markets LLC, an Ohio limited liability company.
The Career Standard provides Résumé Revamp, LinkedIn Revamp, Cover Letter Support, Full Package services, and educational career resources. Specific deliverables and turnaround estimates are described on the applicable service page, order description, or written communication.
For Standard Service, submit a short service interest or recommendation form. Standard prices are not published publicly. TCS follows up manually by email. Submitting the form does not create a paid project or automatic service acceptance.
Eligibility
Services and purchases are available only to customers in the United States who are at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into an agreement. A parent or guardian permission exception does not make a customer under 18 eligible.
Orders and Acceptance
Submitting payment or an order request does not guarantee acceptance. Online ordering and secure intake are not enabled on this public site. Use the service recommendation form for an inquiry. Submitting an inquiry does not create a paid project or automatic service acceptance.
Payment alone does not begin substantive service work or create automatic project acceptance. Submitting intake also does not start work. TCS reviews completed intake for completeness, service fit, eligibility, scope, and availability. Work begins only after TCS accepts the project in writing.
The Career Standard may decline or cancel an order when reasonably necessary, including when:
- A requested service falls outside our available scope
- Required information has not been provided
- The order contains inaccurate or misleading information
- The request involves unlawful, deceptive, or unethical conduct
- Completing the service would create a conflict or unreasonable risk
- Technical or payment issues prevent fulfillment
If TCS cannot accept a paid Expedited project, it will cancel the project and issue a full refund. Refund handling is manual, as described in the Refund and Revision Policy.
Client Responsibilities
To complete your project accurately and efficiently, you agree to:
- Provide complete and accurate information
- Submit requested materials in a timely manner
- Review drafts and deliverables carefully
- Provide consolidated feedback within the stated revision period
- Respond to reasonable requests for clarification
- Confirm that you have the right to share all submitted documents and information
- Avoid submitting confidential employer information that you are not authorized to disclose
You remain responsible for verifying the accuracy of dates, job titles, employment history, education, credentials, accomplishments, contact information, and other facts contained in your final materials.
Do not submit passwords, Social Security numbers, government identification, financial account information, medical information, or full residential addresses. You may upload ordinary career materials such as résumés, job descriptions, certifications, work history, and related supporting documents. TCS does not request LinkedIn passwords and does not directly edit your LinkedIn account.
Use the order specific intake access provided by TCS for career files. Individual intake uploads are limited to 10 MB. Do not share your intake token or link publicly.
Payments
Expedited services use one payment in USD for the selected service:
- Résumé Revamp: $375 USD
- LinkedIn Revamp: $300 USD
- Cover Letter Support: $225 USD
- Full Package: $775 USD
When Expedited payment is available, payments are processed through Stripe Checkout. You agree to provide current and accurate billing information to Stripe and authorize the amount shown at checkout. TCS does not store payment card information.
Payment and completed intake are required for an Expedited project, but only written TCS acceptance begins substantive work. Standard Service terms and payment arrangements are communicated manually before a paid project is agreed. Submitting the Standard form does not create a payment obligation.
Refunds and Revisions
All purchases are subject to the separate Refund and Revision Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.
A full refund may be requested before substantive work begins. If TCS cannot accept a paid Expedited project, it will issue a full refund. After written acceptance and the start of customized work, completed customized work is nonrefundable. If TCS cannot complete the service, the undelivered portion is refunded as described in that policy.
One consolidated revision request within the accepted scope is included. Submit it within seven calendar days after final delivery. Full Package includes one coordinated request across its three components.
Customers should report any error made by The Career Standard within 14 calendar days after final delivery. TCS will correct errors it made at no additional charge when reported within this period. Correction of a TCS error is separate from the included revision request and does not use that revision request.
Customer preference changes, new information, a new target role, and a new strategic direction are not TCS errors. Those requests are reviewed under the included revision and project scope rules.
Separate purchased digital resources are nonrefundable after delivery or access under the Refund and Revision Policy. That rule does not remove the included revision or correction rights for customized service deliverables. The complete Refund and Revision Policy controls if this summary and that policy differ.
Project Scope
Your purchase includes only the services and deliverables specifically identified in the applicable package, order description, proposal, or written agreement.
A request may fall outside the original scope when it involves:
- A new target role, occupation, or industry
- An additional resume or document
- A substantially different version of an existing document
- Large amounts of new information submitted after drafting
- Additional consultations or services
- Work not included in the purchased package
Out of scope work may require an additional fee, revised timeline, or separate order.
Full Package includes one résumé for one accepted career direction, one written LinkedIn optimization packet, and one tailored cover letter for one specific role and employer. It includes one coordinated package revision request. You implement the LinkedIn recommendations yourself; TCS does not request your password or directly edit your account.
Turnaround Times
Turnaround times are estimates rather than guarantees.
The Expedited project timeline begins with written TCS acceptance after payment, complete intake, and the required review. Payment or intake submission alone does not start the timeline.
Timelines may be extended when:
- Requested information is missing
- The client delays feedback or approval
- The project scope changes
- Technical problems or circumstances outside reasonable control occur
- Additional work is requested
The Career Standard will make reasonable efforts to communicate material delays and provide an updated expected delivery date.
Client Delays and Inactive Projects
Complete your required intake within 14 calendar days after payment. If it remains incomplete at that point, it enters manual review. TCS may issue one intake access reissue when appropriate. If the project cannot proceed, TCS may cancel it and issue a full refund.
After written acceptance and the start of work, the project timeline pauses while TCS waits for information, clarification, documents, approval, or revision feedback. An accepted project inactive for more than 30 days may be closed. Resuming it may require rescheduling, updated information, or an additional fee based on the requested work and availability. Any new paid work must be agreed before it begins.
Closure does not create a refund for completed customized work, but it does not override any refund or correction required by the Refund and Revision Policy. The 30 day accepted project inactivity rule does not replace the 14 day intake review rule or the seven calendar day revision request window.

Resolving Concerns
Before beginning formal legal proceedings, you agree to contact The Career Standard and make a reasonable good faith effort to resolve the concern directly.
Send a description of the issue, relevant order information, and the requested resolution to hello@thecareerstandardco.com.
This requirement does not prevent either party from pursuing rights or remedies that cannot legally be restricted.
Changes to These Terms
These Terms may be updated to reflect changes in our services, website, business practices, or legal obligations.
The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Material changes will apply prospectively unless otherwise required or permitted by law.
Your continued use of the website after updated Terms become effective indicates acceptance of the revised Terms.
Severability and Waiver
If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the extent permitted by law.
A failure to enforce any provision does not waive the right to enforce it later.
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Refund and Revision Policy, applicable service description, and any written proposal or order confirmation, constitute the agreement concerning your purchase and use of the services.
If a signed written agreement directly conflicts with these general Terms, the signed agreement will control for that specific project.

Delivery Access and Working Files
Final downloadable deliverables remain available for 30 days after final delivery. Working files become eligible for deletion 90 days after project closure. Deletion is manual and subject to checks for applicable holds; eligibility does not mean automatic or immediate deletion. TCS does not promise permanent file storage.
Keep your own copies of final deliverables. A request for another copy after download access expires does not extend the included revision window. Payment and operational records may be retained separately as described in the Privacy Policy.
